How to prepared yourself for communion.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread. (1Cor 11:23)
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, broken for you: this I do in remembrance of me. (1Cor 11:24
After when same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, remembrance of me. (1Cor 11:25)
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. (1Cor 11:26)
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthy, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (1Cor 11:27)
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. (1Cor 11:28)
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. (1Cor 11:29)
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. (1Cor 11:30)
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. (1Cor 11:31)
But if we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. (1Cor 11:32)

Paul here tell us what we all need to do before we take communion, and what happens to any of us who decide not to do it. We are to judge are self of our own sins. Take time before  to search our own heart. Then confess to Christ Jesus all that we fine in our heart. For if we don't confess our sins to Jesus, and we take it unworthy, Jesus will judge us and chasten us here now on earth, because we did search our heart and confess our sins, we ate and drank damnation on to our self.
As Christians, we look on to Christ Jesus body and His blood as lifesaving. Jesus's body was broken by rips in his skin, from the wiping, hitting, all the abuse that was given to Him, the pain of the crown of thorns push in to his head, then lead through the town to the hill to be nail to the cross, then being hung there for all to see and make joke at and cured at, then being stabbed in the side so him blood and water ran out, put in the tomb for three days, as he went to hell, then rose to be seated on the right hand of God to judge us. Only through the spilled blood of Jesus can our sin be was away. But first we have to find our sin in our heart, confess it to Jesus. So His Holy Blood can wash them all away.
When we don't take His Communion in respect to Him, we are damning our self. I took time before writing this. I look in other bibles, not one of them used the were damnation in, as 1Cor 11:29. they used other word that sound bad but still play it down. If you are not using the King James Bible, look it up and see what word it used. Then look up the different meaning of those words. I know the meaning will be close but not as bad.
We take communion to show respect to Jesus and for His body and Blood, the only way we could ever be with God. Was Jesus death. Jesus took all are abused for our sins. Please take this time to search your heart, confess your sins, There are only two kind of people on earth now. Sinners and sinners forgiven by grace.

God Bless
